Multiply Revenue vs PodiumOne Waits for the Phone to Ring. One Goes and Finds the Buyer.
Podium is the incumbent for local business messaging and reviews, and over 100,000 businesses use it because it is genuinely good at handling the people who already found you. Podium starts at $399 a month, with phones charged per person on top and the AI Employee sold as an add-on. The difference that matters is not the price though, it is the direction: Podium works the conversation once it starts, and nothing in it goes out and starts one. Multiply Revenue does.

Pricing verified September 5, 2026
Every Podium number on this page comes from Podium's own public pricing or help pages, checked on the date above. Podium changes pricing and plan limits over time, so click through and confirm the current number before you decide.
Every Podium figure on this page was read off Podium's own pricing page on September 5, 2026, and the contract pattern is drawn from complaints filed publicly with the Better Business Bureau. Podium publishes Core at $399 a month and Pro at $599; Multiply Revenue does not list plan prices on this site, so this page makes no claim to be the more transparent of the two. Prices and terms change, and Podium may quote you differently. Check their page before you decide.
Where the Real Difference Shows Up
What Podium Is Genuinely Good At
Worth saying first, because a comparison that only sneers is not worth reading. Podium built its business on webchat, reviews and text messaging for local companies, and those products work. Over 100,000 businesses use it. If a customer lands on your site, texts your number or leaves a review, Podium gives your team a strong way to handle it, and plenty of businesses run their whole front desk on it. Podium's weakness is not quality, it is direction: every tool in it waits for a person to arrive first. Multiply Revenue starts one step earlier and goes and finds the person. If your problem is that not enough people are arriving, handling them better does not fix it.

Podium Publishes Its Prices. The Question Is What the Bill Adds Up To
Podium's pricing page lists Core at $399 a month and Pro at $599, with Signature quoted. That is more openness than most of this category offers, and Multiply Revenue does not list plan prices on this site at all, so we are not claiming the high ground on transparency. The gap opens after the headline number. Podium Phones are charged per person, $30 a month per user for one to four users and $25 at five or more, so a six person team adds $150 a month before anyone makes a call. Extra phone numbers are $5 a month each beyond the five included on Core. There is a $5 monthly 10DLC fee for every US location. High-Volume Carrier-Verified Messaging is $15 a month on Core. And the AI Employee is an add-on to any plan rather than part of it, as are AI Instant Answers and Automated AI Review Responses. Multiply Revenue includes calls and SMS with the plan, subject to a published fair use policy, and does not charge per seat for the phone.

The Contract Is the Complaint Nobody Mentions Until Renewal
This is the pattern that dominates Podium's public complaint record rather than anything about the software. Podium sells on twelve month contracts that auto-renew, with a notice window before the renewal date, and the recurring story in complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau is a customer trying to leave near the end of a term, being told it has already renewed, and owing another year. Whatever you think of the product, that is a commitment worth understanding before you sign rather than after. Multiply Revenue does not require an annual contract.

Answering Fast Is Not the Same Problem as Having Someone to Answer
Podium solves a real problem well: a customer messages you and somebody replies quickly. That only helps a business already generating inbound interest. Most small businesses we speak to are not losing deals because they replied slowly, they are losing because nobody called that week. Multiply Revenue identifies in-market buyers, calls them in a natural voice, follows up until they answer and books the meeting, so the conversation Podium is good at handling is one that actually happens.
